Red-lettered "Observer" blurb on the jacket spine is faded, but still readable.

A novel about whether the young King Louis XVII escaped from Temple in Paris with the French royal family. Reportedly, he died in prison in 1795, but claimants arose later to his title. In a handsome pictorial jacket signed “MC”.
